self denying, not self seeking
dying to self, not seeking comfort
following Jesus, not following the world or man-made traditions
rejecting the worldly goals of comfort, money, power, status and recognition
striving for the godly goals of sacrificial love, humility and purity
not ashamed of Jesus but rather boldly proclaiming the truth
